Dear john, Today is day 24 of the Republican government shutdown, and more people are feeling the impact every single day. Federal workers—who are working without pay—are feeling the strain, most evident for travelers in and out of our airports. I've met personally with TSA agents, air traffic controllers, and key labor groups representing federal workers and airline employees to stay connected with impacted stakeholders throughout this time. And of course, out of control healthcare costs remains at the top of my mind as I continue my demand of Speaker Johnson and his Republican colleagues to bring the House back in session and negotiate an end to the shutdown.
