Does this look like a hate rally to you?
‌‌‌‌‌

John,

Last Saturday, I was one of an estimated 7 million Americans who participated in a No Kings protest against the Trump regime.

In the days leading up to the event, Republican Speaker Mike Johnson called No Kings a “hate America” rally and warned of danger, violence, and extremism.

Mr. Speaker, does this look like a hate rally to you?

There were 2,700 events around the world and ten across Washington’s 6th District, and I got to rally with my neighbors in Aberdeen, Shelton, and Hoodsport.

Everywhere I went, I felt the energy and power of people — regular, everyday people — united against oligarchy, fascism, and hatred. We waved American flags and homemade signs calling for democracy, due process, healthcare, and an end to masked police abducting our neighbors and troops in our streets.

Thank you to everyone who exercised their freedom of speech on Saturday. I’ll tell Speaker Johnson that demanding our leaders do better is how we show LOVE for America.

(I’ll also tell him to protect our healthcare, swear in Adelita Grijalva, release the Epstein files, and come back to work!)

– Emily

P.S. I know lots of folks are dealing with furloughs and high costs, but if you’re able: Please chip in $6 or any amount to help flip the House and elect leaders who will work for working people!
