I created A Women’s Place for moments exactly like this one.
Right now, House Republicans have:
🔒 Shut down the government
📉 Spiked families’ healthcare costs
🚫 Refused to swear in Rep. Adelita Grijalva
📁 Blocked the release of the Epstein files
They are not governing. They are protecting themselves and their political allies — at the direct expense of the American people. John, I want you to hear this from me directly:
The GOP is keeping a duly elected Congresswoman out of office because they are afraid of what her vote might uncover.
Adelita Grijalva was elected by her constituents. She has shown up to start that work. But Speaker Mike Johnson won’t swear her in — because she will be the final 218 majority House vote to release the Epstein files. She will also sit on the Natural Resources Committee, which can release subpoenaed documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein. And you know how she’ll vote there, too: for the American people to hear the truth.
That’s what they’re afraid of. That’s what this shutdown is really protecting.
It’s cruel, it’s corrupt, and it’s exactly what A Women’s Place was built to fight.
We don’t need more people who are “willing to compromise” with this kind of dysfunction. We need more Democrats in Congress who aren’t afraid to challenge abuse, shine a light on cover-ups, and hold the line for the people who sent us here.
That’s what 2026 is about. And we are already behind if we’re not building the infrastructure now.
If you agree, I’m asking you to do two things today:1️⃣ Add your name to demand Adelita Grijalva be sworn in and the Epstein files released:

The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
