Since launching my campaign in May, I’ve spent countless hours knocking on doors and talking to folks across Iowa about their concerns — what’s keeping them up at night, what gives them hope. And the truth is, a lot of people are discouraged right now.

Believe me, I get it.

Year after year, Democrats in Iowa promise they’ll be the ones to flip our state or their seat blue. And year after year, we give our time, energy, and hard-earned money to campaigns that fall just short. I’ve knocked on doors and donated and helped as best I could, and so I get it, it’s disappointing.

Meanwhile, Zach Nunn and the Trump administration are wreaking havoc on the communities we care most about — cutting SNAP benefits, driving up health care costs, and putting party politics ahead of the people they’re supposed to serve.

But despite all that, I know we can win because I have. With the support of this grassroots team, I took on Jake Chapman, who threatened public school teachers with jail time, and beat him in his Republican leaning district. Then, when the Iowa GOP threw everything they had at me, I won reelection even though Trump won my district as well. I’ve won some of the most competitive races in Iowa in the past few years, and that’s how I know big things are possible when we work together.

I am working as hard as I possibly can every single day so that we can flip this seat and give Iowans a real voice in Washington, so that we can stand up to corrupt special interests, make health care affordable, stand up for our democracy, and take on the cost-of-living crisis.

I don’t want to run this race like every other politician who only shows up around the election, but in order to do that, I need a lot of grassroots support helping me. So if my message resonates with you, I’d like to ask if you can please chip in $10 or whatever you can to power this campaign forward. Every door we knock and every conversation we have brings us one step closer to the Iowa we believe in. [[link removed]]
