John,

With gyms closed for so long - and maybe re-opened, but
maybe then closed again - we've all seen how important it
is to have a place to get some exercise, a place that you know is
going to be open and available.

That's why neighborhood parks are so important.

At a park, you can exercise at your own pace. It's outdoors,
which is much safer than indoors these days. And it's green and
sunny, which gyms usually aren't.

If you have a gym membership, it may or may not be doing you any
good right now. But what if you could transform your monthly gym
membership into a tax-deductible gift to support the creation of new
parks all across the country, especially in areas that lack access to
green space? Your membership will always pay off, benefiting you
- and the

28 million children who don't have access to a park - with
health benefits both mental and physical.

With your support, The Trust for Public Land has built or improved
hundreds of neighborhood parks in the past few years. In fact, 9
million people live near a park that we built. You know how much we do
for parks, and you know what a Trust for Public Land membership is.

A monthly gift to The Trust for Public Land, like a gym
membership, costs just a few dollars a month but gives you access to
health and recreation facilities. What's more, when you become a
monthly donor you help provide a critical and much-needed revenue
stream we can count on, which is an invaluable asset in the best of
times and absolutely crucial in these uncertain times.

Even if you've never had a gym membership, you should consider
becoming a monthly donor. After all, you can just sit in a park for an
hour and no one will think any less of you. That's much better
than a gym, isn't it?

Sincerely,

Kim Elliot
