This week, we witnessed the depths Mamdani’s opponents will go when Andrew Cuomo shared an AI-generated ad depicting so-called “criminals for Zohran Mamdani” – a dog-whistle, racist smear meant to stoke fear and spread hate.

The truth is Mamdani’s bold campaign has the political establishment terrified. He stands with the working class, not billionaires and landlords. The other side knows they can’t beat Mamdani on ideas, so they’re resorting to misinformation and fear.

Our Revolution is organizing the grassroots to fight back against these smear campaigns – talking to voters across the city, face-to-face and over the phones. But it costs money to keep canvassers in the field and the phones dialing. And grassroots donors power this movement.

We’ve seen this playbook before. When progressives threaten the establishment, the billionaires and their allies respond with lies meant to divide us. Just ask our volunteers working the phones and canvassing: voters are asking real questions because of these attacks, and many are unsure what to believe.

One of our volunteers named Dina told us that her 82-year-old mother – who’s rarely lucid after strokes and seizures – still remembers one name: Zohran Mamdani. Dina’s mother’s family died in the Holocaust, and what’s happening in Gaza feels deeply personal. And even through illness, her mother remembers who stands for justice.

Now Dina’s making calls for Mamdani alongside our other volunteers. Because we refuse to let hate, bigotry, and lies decide this election. But we urgently need your help to counter the establishment’s smear campaign, reach undecided voters, and set the record straight in every corner of this city.

This is our chance, together, to show a city – and a nation – that the politics of hope can overcome the politics of fear.
