Trump and Republicans shut down the government to protect tax breaks for the wealthy while raising healthcare costs for everyone else.

I held a townhall in my district and talked with seniors, parents, and workers who can’t afford these political games. A shutdown means missed paychecks, delayed benefits, and higher costs for families already stretched too thin.

I won’t stand by while Trump puts working people last. I’m fighting to keep the government open and healthcare affordable — no matter how many stunts they pull in Washington.
