Red River College has announced that it is suspending six programs and reducing the capacity for two others.
In an email to staff at the school obtained by CTV News, Dr. Christine Watson, who is the vice-president, academic at the college, said the school reviewed its academic programs as part of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic to "ensure organizational, academic and financial sustainability."

Health-care workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic are at risk of severe stress that could cause long-term psychological damage, the Centre of Excellence on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder says.
The centre at the Royal Ottawa Hospital has teamed up with the Phoenix Australia Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health to develop a guide for facilities including hospitals and peer-support organizations in an effort to reduce the impact on those susceptible to so-called moral injury, a type of PTSD.

Paramedics and police in Saskatoon are using naloxone, an aid to block the effects of an opioid overdose, many times more frequently in the last few months than they did last year.
In the most recent example, police administered the drug to three separate people in a four-hour span on late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. In all three cases, the two men and one woman were not breathing and had no pulse.
