Halloween has arrived at Nottingham Castle with lots of spooky fun and games to be had! Inside the museum and galleries, find ghostly symbols to complete the Witch's Spell trail, and enjoy some ghoulish activities along the way...
You can also delve beneath the Castle, braving the damp and dark corners of the caves, to discover more about Medieval Nottingham on the Darker Dungeon tour.Â

Spooky season at Wollaton Hall and Newstead Abbey

This half term, go behind-the-scenes at Wollaton Hall on a Hidden History Tour, discovering the Prospect Room and Tudor Kitchens along with other hidden rooms and corridors. There's also the Discovering Dinosaurs gallery which displays a full-size T-rex and other specimens. Little ones can get into the Halloween spirit with the outdoor Vampire Bat trail, spooky story times, and indoor games!
Discover haunting happenings at Newstead Abbey. Join a family friendly ghost tour to seek out stories of the ghosts who haunt the Abbey, and have lots of fun along the way! You can also explore the grounds with the Scary Scarecrows outdoor trail. Grown ups can enter the Historic House after dark and meet some of its most famous spectral residents on an evening house tour.

Get ready for monstrous fun this October half-term as the It's in Nottingham rooftop monsters are returning to the city centre for one week only! There will be some new monsters to spot this year, as the crazy creatures take up residence on the rooftops of high-street shops and businesses across the city.

Expect pure 90s vibes, stunning production, stilt walkers, roaming entertainers, and street food vendors. Combining nostalgic dance anthems with Halloween thrills, this indoor festival promises an unforgettable night of classic tunes and immersive entertainment!
Dead Duck Cult Film Festival

Dead Duck Cult Film Festival is taking over the Savoy Cinema for a one-day celebration of boundary-pushing, blood-stained, and brilliant genre cinema. The festival showcases four landmark works from the New French Extremity movement, a visceral, transgressive wave of cinema that redefines horror.
The day will also feature vendor stalls, an exclusive menu by Tough Mary's Bakehouse, exclusive post-screening Q&As, and a panel discussion. Tickets are £20 and provide entry to all screenings and events (ages 18+).
Family Halloween Spooktacular

Head to Bumpkins Pumpkins patch where children can pick and carve their own free pumpkin, hop aboard the Witches Wagon for some spooky magic, and meet Grizelda the slightly forgetful witch.
Take on fun Halloween-themed games and hunts throughout the park. Keep an eye out for Millie the Monster, the loveable mascot who can’t wait to meet you!

The Samhain Pagan Market is a vibrant mini festival featuring an array of traders, speakers, storytellers, music, and dance. Samhain is an ancient festival marking the beginning of the winter months and the thinning of the veil. This year's market has been organised in partnership with Pagan Pride.
More than 100 traders will take over Sneinton Market Square and Avenues, including Harmonious Botanist, Forest Fables Decor, Pippin's Potions, Celestial Creations, and Kavana Emporium, as well as lots more magical makers!
The market is open from 12pm-6pm.

Diwali, known to many as the ‘Festival of Light', is the most celebrated festival in India and is celebrated by Hindus, Jains and Sikhs. The festival celebrates the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance, and it is also a propitious time for new endeavours.
From 12pm-4pm on Sunday, Nottingham Castle will host talented performers showcasing classic and contemporary music and dance, capturing the essence of the rich musical heritage of Diwali. You can also enjoy Bollywood and Bollywood Fusion dance workshops, delivered by specialist performers throughout the day.

The Nottingham Comedy Festival returns for its 17th year! The ten-day festival brings a wide range of comedians from around the country and beyond, from brand new acts to top established names.
