House Republicans already did our job.

We passed a clean, responsible bill to keep the government open — no gimmicks, no pork, no political traps. It funded our troops, air traffic controllers, and essential federal workers so they can keep serving the American people.

But Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats blocked it — twelve times.

They’ve made it clear they’d rather keep the government closed than give up their leverage.

“Families are going to suffer… but it’s one of the few leverage times we have.”

That’s a direct quote from the House Democrat leadership. They’re admitting that pain and chaos are their political strategy. That’s not leadership — it’s extortion.

While our troops wait on paychecks, families face uncertainty with WIC and SNAP, and air travel backs up across the country, Democrats are boasting:

• Schumer: “Every day gets better for us.”
• Sanders: “If you reopen the government, we lose our leverage.”
• A senior aide: “We won’t concede short of planes falling out of the sky.”

That’s not governing. That’s disgraceful.

President Trump and House Republicans have been the only adults in the room — fighting to make sure our troops got paid, that moms and kids have access to food assistance, and that air travel stays safe. Schumer’s Senate blocked every single attempt.

This shutdown isn’t about responsible budgeting — it’s about power.

Democrats are trying to force through $193 billion for illegal immigrant healthcare and $1.5 trillion in new Washington spending.



They’re holding hardworking Americans hostage to protect their open-border, big-spending agenda.

I won’t let it stand. I’ll keep fighting to reopen the government responsibly and defend the taxpayers who keep this country running.
