Over the past few weeks, we’ve been going through each of the 10 Steps to Autocracy and Authoritarianism in detail.

This week, we’re going over Step 4: Gutting the Civil Service.

See, democracy works when folks believe that their government is capable of delivering for them.

Trump is breaking every arm of the government, so folks don’t believe democracy is worth fighting for.

What’s left is an all-powerful autocrat with an entire government full of only loyalists, who will serve their leader over the people every time.

Trump’s destruction of every useful part of government is an intentional strategy on the road to a complete autocratic takeover.

We have to take notice and fight back.
