John, President Trump called 99% of COVID-19 cases “totally harmless.”
Trump’s comments are blatantly false.
Delawareans know that because here, new COVID-19 cases were in the triple digits for the third time in a span of only four days. Across the country, there have been spikes in new cases, and at least 2.8 million Americans have tested positive for COVID-19.
The coronavirus isn’t harmless, and our fight against it is not over.
While Trump is downplaying the seriousness of this health crisis, I’m fighting in the Senate to ensure we have a national plan in place for our continued response to the very real threat of the coronavirus.
There are also things we all can do to protect ourselves and others and slow the spread of the virus:
-
Wear a mask in public spaces
-
Practice social distancing
-
Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly
Thank you again for doing your part,
TC
