Earlier this month, my team reached out about next month’s important election in California. Proposition 50 is the ballot measure that could decide how California’s congressional maps are drawn, and whether national Republicans succeed in their plan to rig the House majority for years to come.

Just this week, North Carolina advanced new maps to give Republicans an additional seat in the House while cutting out Democratic representation. This comes after Texas and other GOP-controlled states did the same.

Unlike these legislatures, California is putting new maps to a vote by the people. If Prop 50 is passed, it would level the playing field ahead of next year’s critical midterm elections and keep our democracy intact.

While we received many responses, according to our records, you haven’t completed our poll yet. With only weeks left before ballots are counted, I want to hear directly from you: Do you support Prop 50?

In less than a month, California voters go to the polls and make a decision that could change the fabric of our race and the House majority.

Prop 50 is a measure on November’s ballot to redraw California’s congressional maps in response to Texas’ undemocratic scheme to add more GOP seats to hold the House majority – an unprecedented power grab from national Republicans to keep control of Congress to carry out the Trump Administration’s every command.

But California Democrats aren’t letting the GOP get away with it that easily. If passed, Prop 50 would level the playing field for next year’s midterm elections, defend fairness in our democracy, and give voters a voice while Republicans want to erase them.

We need to prepare for any outcome in a race as important as this one. Ballots are out, and we need to know where our supporters stand:
