Friend – this is absolutely egregious.

Time and time again, we've seen President Trump prioritize his personal interests over acting in the best interests of the American people.

He accepted a plane – that is so lavish it is called a "palace in the sky" – from an autocratic foreign government that will cost billions in taxpayer money to retrofit to security standards.

He sicced the FCC on television broadcast networks to silence his critics.

He demanded a $230 million taxpayer-funded payout from his own DOJ for investigating him, even as he weaponizes the same department to prosecute his perceived political enemies.

So now, as: 

* Troops and federal workers go unpaid,
* Food banks run dry, 
* Soybean farmers risk insolvency, and 
* 24 million Americans come face-to-face with sky-high health care premiums

– can you guess what's at the top of his to-do list?

Tearing down the East Wing of the White House to build a $250 million golden ballroom in its place.

The president is not a king, and the White House is not his personal palace. It's the People's House – not a Trump Tower.

While Trump continues to consider only himself, Colorado’s working families can’t afford to wait on Washington to solve our problems.

They have to start here with us in Colorado. So I promise that as governor, ensuring the well-being of every person who calls our state home will be my only priority.

But since I'm not a wannabe king like Trump, I can't do it without your help to reach my $30,000 end-of-month goal by midnight on Halloween.

So please, friend, will you pitch in $5, $25 or anything you can before then to help me make Colorado the beacon of hope that our nation desperately needs?
