It’s official. Donald Trump’s government shutdown is now the second-longest in American history, only behind… the 35-day shutdown during Trump’s first term.

Once again, Republicans are in charge — and once again, they’ve brought our government to a halt.

It’s been nearly a month since federal workers and servicemembers have received a paycheck — yet they’re still clocking in each and every day to serve our country. Republicans can’t say the same.

Instead, they sent themselves on a paid vacation, doing absolutely nothing to solve the crisis they put our country in.

It’s abhorrent, and it’s a reminder that elections have consequences. Families can’t take two more years of this chaos — and that’s exactly why I’m working so hard to help Democrats take back the House next year.

But I can’t do it alone. Thanks to their shutdown, Republicans have even more time to host all those fancy, closed-door fundraisers — which means we need to kick our grassroots fundraising into overdrive so we don’t fall behind.
