Project 2025 promised to eliminate the Department of Education; today, the
Trump Administration is doing everything in its power to make it happen.

Earlier this year, they laid off half the Department’s staff. Now, they’re
using the government shutdown to gut it even further — targeting the offices
that protect students with disabilities and enforce civil rights in our public
schools.

This is not about “smaller government.” It’s about silencing oversight,
dismantling public education, and leaving millions of children behind.
