The latest ICE operation in New York City was a complete betrayal of the rule of law. I stand in solidarity and in outrage with every immigrant and family whose lives were shaken by this travesty.
ICE has disregarded warrants, ignored judicial oversight, and trampled the Constitution. They storm homes without cause, detain individuals without due process, and show utter contempt for the freedoms our nation claims to defend.
It’s time to abolish ICE.
No agency should be allowed to violate the American principle of equal justice under the law. We cannot let immigrant communities be targeted and families be ripped apart by an unchecked authority that replaces justice with fear.
