Republicans are breathing a sigh of relief. House Democrats’ efforts to conduct much-needed oversight have once again been stalled. If Trump succeeds in hiding his financial records until after November, that’s a big win for Trump -- and a major loss for our democracy and the rule of law.

Unacceptable. We cannot sit idly by while Trump is rewarded for his lawlessness and stonewalling.
