Jones is actively under criminal investigation by a special prosecutor — and he's running to be Virginia's top law enforcement officer. This has never happened in Virginia's history.

Think about that for a moment. The man who wants the power to prosecute your family and our police is currently being investigated himself.

A special prosecutor doesn't get appointed for routine cases, friend. This means there are serious issues involved, and the investigation is "currently pending."

You cannot be Virginia’s Attorney General while being investigated by Virginia’s criminal prosecutors. This is insanity.

As a prosecutor who's spent years working with other prosecutors across Virginia, I can tell you this is unprecedented. No credible law enforcement professional would hire someone under active criminal investigation — let alone make them their boss.

Jones wants to lead the very system that's currently investigating him for criminal conduct. That's not just wrong — it's the recipe for a constitutional crisis in Virginia.

Jay Jones should suspend his campaign and withdraw from the race for Attorney General.
