Ordinary Americans have had enough. This past weekend, MILLIONS of us took to the streets in peaceful resistance to Trump’s flagrant disregard for the law and our fundamental rights.

In recent weeks, Trump has sent the military into our cities and ignored court orders. But he’s also accelerated his handouts to polluters. He approved the Ambler Road Project, a 200 mile roadway opening Alaska’s wilderness to destructive mining operations.
Trump’s EPA halted emissions inspections for coal plants and other polluting facilities that threaten the safety of our air and water.
He canceled nearly $8 billion in clean energy projects that help lower Americans’ energy costs, fight climate change, and benefit our health.

Trump’s authoritarian power grab isn’t just enriching himself and his billionaire buddies, it’s raising costs for working families. Now Republicans have shut down the government because they are unwilling to negotiate with Democrats over lowering out-of-control costs for energy, health care, and so much more.

At No Kings, we rallied against Trump’s authoritarian actions that threaten our civil liberties and enrich himself and his billionaire buddies at our expense. Now we need to harness the power of our movement to hold them accountable.
For months, Republicans have been working to dismantle the government: firing federal workers, cutting clean air and water protections, selling off our public lands, and ending funding for clean energy — all while threatening our health and gutting access to healthcare. Republicans have spent all year working to raise our costs — now they’d rather shut down the government than negotiate with Democrats to lower them.
We can stop them, but only if we act together. Lawmakers need to hear from all of us: reopen the government, end Trump’s corruption, lower household costs, and protect our health and wellbeing.

Thank you for taking action, Friend.
