Angela Gonzales-Torres is a pro-human rights candidate running to represent CA-34. Email is one of the most important ways that we can keep you informed on this critical race, but if you want to stop receiving emails from us, click here. |
Hey John, it’s Adrian! I’m the Finance Director on Angela’s campaign for Congress. You’re a big part of this team, and that’s why I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself personally.
Me, hard at work making calls!
Without further ado, here’s some things to know about me 😊:
I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. I’m the son of a farmworker, and a proud product of public schools and punk shows. 🎸
Little Adrian :)
My mom’s faith taught me that the world doesn’t fix itself, we fix it together. That’s why I’ve spent my life trying to build something better with the people around me. It’s why I’m so passionate and excited about what I’m working with Angela to achieve in CA-34!!
I studied finance at San José State (go Spartans! 💙💛) and somewhere between hosting basement shows and debating ethics, I found my way into fundraising — first for the YWCA and local food banks, then for movements and candidates fighting for justice and dignity. Since then, I’ve helped flip red states blue, trained young organizers, and supported community efforts from the Central Valley to Vieques, Puerto Rico (and have even been a Silicon Valley EduTech startup founder).
Now, I’m proud to serve as Finance Director where I can help power this people-first campaign the same way I’ve always done: one conversation, one act of generosity, one shared belief in a better world at a time.
When I’m not crunching numbers or sending fundraising emails, you can find me camping, reading The Crying of Lot 49, or walking my dog Noodle (the schnoodle) with my partner, Stephanie. I’m a lifelong Pokémon fan, lover of jazz and tacos, and still believe, after all these years, that a better world isn’t just possible, it’s necessary.
Warmly,
Adrian
