Throughout the past few months, I've been emailing you about how House Democrats have been passing bills to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

Unfortunately, our sensible reforms aren't moving forward.

The problem? Mitch McConnell has laid them to rest in a legislative graveyard in the Republican-controlled Senate.

We deserve better.

We deserve legislators who are ready and willing to take up causes that Americans care about. I have heard individual stories about how New Jerseyans are being forced to decide whether to buy food or a life-saving drug.

Pay rent or get relief for a child suffering from a debilitating condition? No American should have to make that kind of choice!
