We WON! For the past four days, our team has been at the Board of Elections watching every mail-in ballot be counted -- and it’s been VERY close. Today, after all of the votes have been counted, we are declaring victory by more than 630 votes!
John, thank you for everything. I could not have done this without you. Every volunteer shift completed, event hosted, and dollar donated literally made all the difference in winning this razor-close race. I am so proud of our team, our volunteers, and all of our supporters.
Now, it’s time to gear up for the fight to defeat the science-denying, anti-choice, out-of-step extremist Rep. Lee Zeldin in November.
We launched this campaign last July (one year ago today!) knowing that our community deserves policies based on facts and reality and that Lee Zeldin must go. I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support over the past 12 months.
While Zeldin’s extreme policies and vocal defense of President Trump are completely out of step with the voters in NY-01, they have helped him cozy up to Trump and his network of radical supporters, and Zeldin begins the general election with $2 million in the bank. The campaign to beat him starts now, and I need your help.
Together, we’re going to make sure that the people of NY-01 have a real leader in Washington who will fight for them every single day.
