Success story
How a fair process helped a small business win
Rally Point’s owner, Matt Tighe, recently reached out to DES to share his gratitude after winning the statewide contract for uniforms and equipment. For his Seattle-based veteran- and micro-owned company, the award was more than a business deal—he calls it, “life-changing.”
He credits the fair and consistent process, along with support from DES staff. Matt said they “never overpromised and always kept the process professional and fair. That level of integrity really stood out.” Matt’s story shows the real impact of equitable procurement practices. By keeping processes clear, consistent, and fair, procurement professionals make it possible for small businesses to compete—and succeed.
