July is a critical month in any election, but especially this one. With less than four months until Election Day, we are officially in the final stretch and preparing to launch the next phase of our campaign.

Here’s what that means:

Right now is about the time we need to ramp up our investments in organizing efforts and make sure our message is in front of as many voters as possible. Like I said, July is a critical month.

We must kick into high gear if we want to flip the Senate, end Mitch McConnell’s majority, and send Donald Trump packing in November. But our plans will only be successful if we manage to stop the Republicans from flipping Minnesota red.

I’ll be honest, this will be no small feat. The Trump campaign has already launched a seven-figure ad campaign in our state and considers us a top target. Trump himself takes every opportunity to mention winning in our state when he can, too.

Not to mention, Republican groups with ties to Mitch McConnell have already dumped millions into battleground Senate races across the country — and we expect much more to come.

It all comes down to this: If we can’t hit our fundraising goal in the first few days of July, I worry we may get drowned out in the final months of this election — the most important months of any campaign, but especially ours.
