My mother had two goals in life: To raise my sister Maya and me, and to cure breast cancer.

My mother’s work led to significant breakthroughs in breast cancer research. I too have dedicated a large part of my work to supporting scientific research and organizations that address some of the great pains people experience.

This Breast Cancer Awareness month — and every month — I honor my mother’s research and the millions of others impacted by this disease.
