One of the most unique features of Iowa are our caucuses.
Historically, the Iowa Caucus kicks off the Presidential nomination process across the country. But in recent years, there has been a lot of debate about the pros and cons of the caucus system.
I know 2028 feels far away, and our focus is on winning next year's midterms, but the Iowa Democratic Party is responsible for organizing the 2028 caucus and nominating process, and conversations about what that will look like have already begun.
That’s why IDP has created a survey to hear your thoughts. We’re calling it a family conversation, because despite our individual deeply held beliefs, we want to create unity around our shared values and make sure our nominating process reflects Iowans’ opinions.
So, will you please take our survey to let us know how you feel about the Iowa Caucus and how this process should unfold? Your voice will help us prioritize our options for 2028. [[link removed]]
