John, I’ve spent the past few months on the campaign trail meeting with voters, listening to their concerns, and a very clear theme has emerged: Politics as usual is failing Iowans.

My opponent, Republican Zach Nunn, voted for the Republican budget bill that will rip away health care and food assistance from thousands of Iowans — just to give billionaires another tax break.

He didn’t want to represent the people of IA-03, but he’s running for re-election anyway — because Donald Trump told him to.

Meanwhile, Iowans are struggling to get by, suffering from a lack of access to health care, and Zach Nunn isn’t lifting a finger to help.

That’s why I’m running for Congress, John. As a mom, a minister, and a Democratic State Senator, I've dedicated my life to standing up for my community when political elites have left us behind. And if elected, I’ll take on the Washington establishment that’s holding us back and deliver real change for Iowa’s hardworking families.

I’m running to cut costs for Iowans, protect access to all forms of affordable healthcare, strengthen our public schools, bring good-paying jobs back home, and more. I’m in this to win and finally give Iowa Democratic representation in Congress.
