John,
Football season is in full swing, the Gophers are looking good (Row the Boat!) and the Vikings are showing some real potential.
And while I’d love to just chat football with you, John, I wanted to relay how some of my experience as a football coach has taught me how to govern.
As a former defensive coordinator at Mankato West High School, I learned a lot about what bringing a team together looks like — and how it can defend against a variety of attacks — whether it be a pass heavy offense, or a ground and pound offense.
And John, that’s what we're up against in Minnesota right now. The Trump administration and his allies are throwing everything they’ve got at us with attacks coming from all angles.
But I know that we’ve built a team here in Minnesota that is ready to fight back and defend our rights and freedoms. As One Minnesota, we’re ready to stand up to the Trump administration and his MAGA cronies regardless what they throw our way.
But we have to stick together.
A good team will always have each other's backs, and I need you to have mine.
Let’s get out there and win this thing.
