Friend – What a remarkable day. Last Saturday, millions of people across every state turned out and took action to remind the Trump administration that this is a democracy and democracies are accountable to the people. In Philadelphia, ACLU of Pennsylvania Executive Director Mike Lee helped kick off the program with a rousing speech, calling on us all to continue building a firewall for freedom that protects us against antidemocratic forces. In Pittsburgh, Legal Director Vic Walczak spoke at not one, but two No Kings rallies, reminding us all that it is our duty to speak out when our rights are under attack. You showed up too. Across the commonwealth, from big cities to small towns, tens of thousands of Pennsylvanians were part of the action. Thank you. Many people have been asking what they can do to continue to resist the Trump administration after the No Kings rallies. Here are three ways you can keep the momentum:
This has been a challenging year, to say the least. But what we saw on Saturday proves that those who care about our civil liberties, our rights, and our democracy won't sit idly by while our freedoms need defending.
