The demolition has also run afoul of The National Trust for Historic Preservation AND the National Capital Planning Commission, both of whom have clear and obvious roles to play in any major overhaul of the nation's historic executive residence. Oh, we're also entering the 23rd day of an economically catastrophic government shutdown thanks to the GOP's inability to pass a reasonable funding bill, with several states warning SNAP benefits for MILLIONS of Americans are drying up for lack of federal funding. All in all, a great week of delivering on behalf of the American people, Mr. President!

State and Local Election Alliance: On November 4th, the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania will vote on whether or not to keep three Democratic state supreme court members. If PA votes “no,” then Gov. Josh Shapiro will have to replace them before a full-on partisan election to replace them in 2027. If we lose control of the state Supreme Court, Trump and his cronies will have the opportunity to unleash a dark money avalanche and install loyalist justices who will happily rubber-stamp lawsuits to throw out votes, nullify election results, or award delegates regardless of vote count. In other words, we could never win the White House again. That’s why Republicans have poured a historic $8 MILLION in dark money into the race. Will you chip in to the State and Local Election Alliance and support their efforts to convince the people of Pennsylvania to vote YES on retaining our Democratic justices?

US strikes two more alleged drug-carrying boats, this time in the Pacific Ocean
The US military on Wednesday launched its ninth strike against an alleged drug-carrying vessel, killing three people in the eastern Pacific Ocean, Defense Sec. Pete Hegseth said, expanding the Trump regime's extrajudicial murder spree on the high seas. It followed another strike Tuesday night, also in the eastern Pacific, that killed two people. The latest attacks were departures from the seven previous US strikes targeting vessels in the Caribbean Sea. They bring the death toll to at least 37 from the highly controversial attacks that began last month. Trump's DUI hire to lead the Pentagon took things several giant steps further, claiming alleged drug-runners were the "al-Qaeda of our hemisphere," stating, "Just as Al Qaeda waged war on our homeland, these cartels are waging war on our border and our people," adding, "there will be no refuge or forgiveness — only justice." One quick clarification — firing missiles at speed boats in international waters and literally exploding people to smithereens is many things, but "justice" sure as shit isn't one of them.

The World's Dumbest American Senator™ Tommy Tuberville opened the hole in his face where words come out and claimed New York City will be brought "all the way down" if Democratic Socialist and current frontrunner Zohran Mamdani wins the mayoral race next month. The sentient jockstrap from Alabama told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow that he isn't ready for a Muslim to be mayor of the most populous city in the United States (you don't say!), then added, "We oughta pack him up and send him home." Mamdani, who emigrated to the United States with his family when he was seven years old, is a sitting New York state representative and a naturalized US citizen. The former football coach wasn't quite finished denigrating the entire American Muslim community, proclaiming, "You know, we've got a huge problem in this country, Larry, with Sharia law and the Muslims trying to take over all the areas in our country. And so, I hope we wake up and smell the roses." Uh, that ain't roses, Tommy. It's a giant pile of manure, and you're the dope holding the shovel.

Police across US spread false rumors about Venezuelan gang threats
An unverified rumor that Venezuelan gang members were preparing to kill police officers spread like wildfire through US law enforcement agencies last year, internal records reveal, only for federal officials to later quietly acknowledge the claim was mistaken. The intelligence report, which appears to have first been disseminated by a local New Mexico police department in July 2024, suggested that the Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang had directed its members to “fire on or attack” law enforcement. The vague assertion quickly traveled among law enforcement agencies. It even made its way into a formal proclamation by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and was repeated by Republican Congress members as evidence of the dangers of Venezuelan immigrants and Democrats’ border policies. Months later, however, the Federal Bureau of Investigation wrote in an internal report that claims of a TdA "directive to actively target US law enforcement" were inaccurate. There has been no public acknowledgement of misstatements. Shocking!

Speaking with reporters at the White House yesterday evening, the MAGA cult leader blasted Colombian President Gustavo Petro as a "thug" who better shut his yap, or else he will take "very serious action" and do it for him. The president's pompous warning was made after a reporter asked for his response to Petro saying "humanity" should "get rid" of Trump during an interview earlier this week. Donald responded by stating the United States had cut off all foreign aid to the South American nation of 52 million and declared, "He’s hurt his country very badly, they're doing very poorly, Colombia. They make cocaine — they have cocaine factories. They grow all sorts of crap — that’s drugs, bad drugs coming into the United States, goes generally through Mexico. And he better watch it, or we’ll take very serious action against him and his country." Real tough talk from a real tough guy. Maybe we should get these two on a undercard bout next summer at Trump's big UFC fight on the White House lawn?
