Hi John

If you follow us on social media, you'll know that we're literally counting
down the days to World Population Day this Saturday, 11 July!

As we announced in our June newsletter, we will be hosting a LIVE Q&A [3]
about population and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on our
Facebook page at 5pm BST. You do not need a Facebook account to watch -
just click HERE [4] when the time comes and you will be taken straight to
the livestream. If you are on Facebook, you can RSVP HERE [5]. With already
more than two thousand people who have expressed interest, we are looking
forward to an exciting discussion with experts from around the world!

PANELLISTS INCLUDE:

Robin Maynard (moderator), Director, Population Matters

Wendo Aszed, founder and executive director of Kenyan women's empowerment
organisation Dandelion Africa

Kelley Dennings, Population and Sustainability Campaigner, Center for
Biological Diversity

Laurel Hanscom, Chief Executive Officer, Global Footprint Network

Mari Marcel Thekaekara, Indian writer and campaigner on women's rights

This week, we unveiled our new 24-page report detailing the links between
population and each of the 17 SDGs, which clearly explains how achieving a
sustainable population will accelerate progress towards a happier,
healthier planet. You can download it HERE [6] and view our SDGS WEB PAGE
[7] for a condensed summary.

We have also been working hard on a brand new animation video on this topic
which we will share with you on Saturday.

I hope you'll join us in making World Population Day 2020 even greater than
last year's!

Best wishes,

Alistair Currie
