Hi there,

As you may know, Virginia is the LAST southern state in which women still have access to full reproductive healthcare. That could change depending on the results of this upcoming Election Day in less than 2 weeks. Now is the time to get involved in this important state’s elections.

We have an impressive roster of candidates who will be on the ballot in a matter of days (November 4th), and need all the support they can get as they each challenge anti-choice, GOP opponents. Support our candidates in Virginia by rushing $20.25 or more today!

Here is a look at our endorsed candidates whose campaigns need help the most urgently:

✅ Senator Ghazala Hashmi for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. Hashmi triumphed as the only woman in a crowded and competitive primary earlier this year. Now, she will face off against an extremist Republican talk-radio host, John Reid, whose campaign website features MAGA-inspired rhetoric against Democrats.

✅ Elizabeth Guzmán for the Virginia House of Delegates, District 22. Elizabeth Guzmán was the first Latina immigrant to serve in the VA General Assembly. Her opponent is an incumbent who voted against the state’s amendment to enshrine abortion rights and protect miscarriage management. He also voted against a bill that protected access to contraception…

✅ May Nivar for Virginia House of Delegates, District 57. May is running in the most flippable district in Virginia against a Republican incumbent who was ranked one of the least effective legislators in the entire state – and who said he would like to see abortion become illegal in Virginia.

✅ Stacey Carroll for the Virginia House of Delegates, District 64. Stacey is a mom, military veteran, Certified Public Accountant, and a foster parent, whose opponent is proudly anti-choice. His campaign website includes blatant disinformation. For example, that Democrats in VA have introduced legislation that would permit abortion up to the moment of birth (???!!!). Of course, that is not true.

✅ Jessica Anderson for the Virginia House of Delegates, District 71. Jessica wants to ensure that women have full control over their reproductive destiny. Her opponent, on the other hand, voted against an amendment to enshrine abortion access, against a bill that would prohibit the Board of Medicine from taking disciplinary action against a doctor based on abortion care, and against protecting access to BIRTH CONTROL.

✅ Delegate Rae Cousins for the Virginia House of Delegates, District 79. Rae is a fourth-generation Virginian who has proudly represented the 79th District in the Virginia House of Delegates since 2023. In November, she will face a Republican challenger. We’re working to defend her seat.

✅ Kimberly Pope Adams for Virginia House of Delegates, District 82. Kimberly is a lifelong Virginian and a single mom. Her opponent sponsored a bill that would apply criminal penalties to certain lifesaving reproductive healthcare services.

These races are critical for the women of Virginia and our nation – if we lose abortion access in Virginia, that means millions of women in the South will lose their only remaining access point. We are only days away from Election Day – help us support this roster of endorsed candidates by donating $20.25 or more now.

Team Her Bold Move

Her Bold Move is the fastest-growing support network for women running for political office in America. As dangerous laws about women get passed in states with the lowest numbers of women in government (11%, 12%....), we're BREAKING the male supermajorities across those states.

Because men shouldn't be making laws about women's bodies.

Support this work with a contribution today!
