Dear John
Church leaders around the UK are joining calls for an end to the UK's highly controversial two-child limit. Ask yours to sign the letter today.

Can you imagine a bus driver turning away a child because their brother and sister had already boarded? Can you imagine a doctor refusing to treat a third poorly child, because two was deemed enough? Right now, that’s the sort of absurd injustice that has been stitched into the UK’s shared social security system - and it is plain wrong!
The two-child limit means children born after April 2017 are normally denied support from Universal Credit or Child Tax Credit, if their family already has two or more children.
As Christians, we are called to love our neighbours and to stand with people who have least in our communities. The upcoming Child Poverty Strategy gives the Government a great opportunity to finally give families a credible route out of poverty. We mustn’t let that pass.
We wrote to the Chancellor about this last year, and are doing so again because there are renewed signs that Ministers might be receptive to the growing calls.
We urge all church leaders to add your names to our letter now. Please ask the leaders of your church to sign.
