Last night, I wrapped up my speech on the Senate floor after 22 hours and 37 minutes because I needed to ring the alarm for the American people.

7 million Americans stood up last weekend because the President is not a king, the law is not a suggestion, and the Constitution is not optional.

But Donald Trump is attacking the free press, deploying the military in our cities, ignoring court orders, and using the government to punish his enemies.

He wants to rule like a dictator. He's trying to make Americans accept his total control as the new normal. Republicans are helping him.

Families lose. Billionaires win. Democracy hangs in the balance.

We must all do everything we can, right now, to push back against Trump's authoritarianism and defend our democracy. A key part of that effort is winning back the Senate majority so we can keep dangerous, unqualified nominees out of the federal government and hold this president accountable.
