Friend, today’s Supreme Court decision means that we will likely not see Trump’s tax returns before the 2020 election.
“As Chair of Ways and Means, Richard Neal should have been leading the fight to get Trump’s tax returns. Instead, he’s been the biggest obstacle,” Alex said in this morning’s statement.
It’s true, friend. Neal has shown very little interest in oversight on tax enforcement. After becoming Chair of Ways and Means, he waited months before acting on Trump’s taxes. Likely because he was too busy trying to gain support for a bill that was a key ask from and would benefit several of his insurance industry contributors.
It’s clear Neal does not have the best interests of the American people in mind, so it’s that time we replace him. With your contribution today, we’ll be that much closer to a victory in less than 8 weeks. Can you chip in today?

According to the non-partisan Lugar Center, Neal’s committee received an “F” grade for inadequate oversight activity. Neal was just one of two House Committee Chairs to receive an “F” rating — the other being Eliot Engel, who was just recently ousted in his primary election by another progressive challenger, Jamaal Bowman.
Jamaal and progressives like him are now rallying behind Alex. They know this race is our biggest opportunity to shift the balance of power in Congress to the people.
Friend, can we count on you to step up with a contribution today?
Every contribution, even $5, will make a huge impact in what resources we’re able to invest in as we near our primary in less than 60 days.
Thank you in advance for stepping up and for being a part of our movement for change. Together, we’re building a better future for all.
