As the government shutdown drags into its fourth consecutive week, millions of Americans are bracing for their health insurance premiums to skyrocket next year due to expiring ACA tax credits.

With open enrollment starting in November, estimates are that over 600,000 Californians will be priced out of health insurance.

That is completely unacceptable.

Protecting healthcare for millions of Americans is worth the fight. Extending the ACA credits will save families over $1,000 per year on average and keep coverage affordable for working families.

House Republicans are spreading lies and refusing to come to work. Their top priority is tax breaks for their billionaire donors, not helping millions of struggling families stay afloat.

I’m doing everything I can to protect affordable healthcare and end this shutdown. What these last few weeks have made clear is the GOP’s inability to govern, Democrats must take back the House next year – but we’ll need your support.
