Should Members of Congress Get Paid During A Shutdown?

Dear Fellow Iowan,

It’s Mariannette Miller-Meeks, your Congresswoman from Iowa's First District.

I don't believe Members of Congress should be paid during a government shutdown. That’s why I’m co-leading the No Budget, No Pay Act and have already chosen to withhold my own pay.

Many of my colleagues have stated they intend to keep their paychecks. Meanwhile, our military, federal LEO's, federal employees, and their own staff are all working without pay. 

I personally think that's just wrong, but I want to hear from you:
