Funding the government is Congress’s most basic and important duty. But once again, Congress has failed to do its job thanks to ongoing dysfunction from GOP leadership.
When the government shuts down, countless families and workers are the ones who feel the pinch. And with so many Americans already living paycheck to paycheck, this indefinite lapse in pay while Congress continues to collect checks just isn’t right.
