John, this past weekend was a really big deal. Millions — yes millions — of Americans of all ages and demographics, from all walks of life, in cities all around the country, showed up to make their voices heard once again: NO KINGS IN AMERICA.
My team and I showed up too.

Estimates say as many as 7 million folks turned out in all 50 states, making it the largest collective rally in American history. It was deeply moving to see so many people standing together to (peacefully) protest Donald Trump and his administration’s lawless abuses of power.
I was honored to join my colleagues, Rep. Raskin and Rep. Dean, alongside thousands of patriots in Philly. We continue to meet people where they are to hear their protests, concerns, and demands from their government — that’s our job.

There were more people in attendance nationwide than at either of Trump’s inaugurations.

Meanwhile, Republicans are still in hiding and refuse to negotiate on reopening the government. GOP Speaker Mike Johnson has been spending his time calling No Kings a “hate America rally,” which is objectively untrue. I’ve never seen so many people full of love for their country in one place.
We hate Donald Trump’s attempts to be a dictator, but we love America. We hate the cruelty and terror that Donald Trump and Stephen Miller have unleashed on our communities with masked men and armed troops, but we love America.
We hate this government shutdown the GOP is enabling, even with all their power, but we love America.
I know you love America too, even as much as we all hate what this shutdown is doing to our safety and security — click here to let us know how it’s affecting you.
Let me be perfectly clear on what we’re trying to stop and who we are up against:
Republicans in office who refuse to negotiate across the aisle to reopen the government and save health insurance costs and coverage for hundreds of thousands of Americans.
Republicans in office who refuse to swear in the newly elected Rep. Grijalva because they’re scared her vote would help release the Epstein Files.
Republicans in office who bow down to Donald Trump and his abuses of power, disregard for the Constitution, and attacks on American citizens and residents.
We’re here and we’re fighting for our rights and freedom because we know Americans deserve better. And because we love America.
Now that we’re entering week 4 of the government shutdown — I want to continue to hear from you so I know how to keep fighting and make sure your questions and concerns are addressed in Washington. Let me know how this shutdown is impacting you, your neighbors, your family, and your community >>
No Kings in America.
