Clear the way for energy that’s affordable, reliable, and built in America.
<[link removed]>

Hello John,

Standing beneath the wide skies of Bozeman, I saw something remarkable at the
Montana Energy Summit — a state leading the way on what America’s energy future
should look like.

<[link removed]>

We were joined by four governors, U.S. congressmen, and CEOs who share the
urgency of expanding America’s energy production.

Under the leadership of Jesse Ramos, AFP–Montana state director, the summit
highlighted how local communities can power America’s future.

Even as Washington works to stifle it.

Here is what’s at stake: Washington wants to shut down one of the cleanest
coal plants.

* The Colstrip power plant has powered the Northwest for decades — providing
affordable, reliable energy and thousands of good jobs.
* Capturing 99.6% of particulates, it’s one of the cleanest coal plants on
Earth.
And yet, bureaucrats in D.C. want to close it. They’ve never set foot in
Colstrip, never met the people whose livelihoods depend on it.

“There isn’t a river in Montana I wouldn’t let my kids jump into — but I
wouldn’t let my dog wade into the rivers where most lawmakers live.”
— Jesse Ramos, AFP–Montana State Director

Montanans don’t need lectures on stewardship from Washington. They protect
this land because it’s their home.

That’s the spirit we must rekindle.

If Washington succeeds, it won’t just hurt Montana. It will skyrocket costs
and weaken the grid for families across the country. Households nationwide will
feel it in higher utility bills, more power outages, and fewer good-paying jobs.

✍️ Take action

Tell Washington: Let Montana build, power, and prosper again. Please take a
