These are just a few of the young children that we lost to preventable gun violence this past holiday weekend.
Gun violence is one of the most critical issues facing our nation and no more parents should have to grieve their children before our leaders take action.
But sadly, firearms are the second leading cause of death of children in the United States. We believe that Congress needs to act and has the duty to protect our children.
Mitch McConnell has allowed universal background checks legislation to sit on his desk, untouched, for almost a year and a half.
Passing universal background checks is one of the most commonsense ways to protect our children from gun violence, which is why we need you to act today.
Every year, 1,600 children and teens are shot and killed, and thousands more are shot and wounded in America. These incidents are heartbreaking and preventable.
American children shouldn’t have to live in fear due to tragedies we can help prevent.
The most vulnerable in our country need legislation that protects them, and universal background checks will help do just that.
