Hi there – I’m Jennifer Jenkins. I’m running for the U.S. Senate to defeat unelected Senator Ashley Moody and be a common-sense fighter for Florida’s families.
You may have heard that running as a Democrat in Florida is of no use anymore. I refuse to believe that. I’m a mom and an educator here. I’m raising my daughter here. I refuse to believe that her future will be Book Bans, Don’t Say Gay, and handouts to the most wealthy, while the working class gets left further and further behind.
That’s why I’m running. Florida is winnable, and I know we can flip it Blue next November. But I can only do it with your support.
To be frank, I am sick and tired of Republicans like Ashley Moody who don’t have a backbone and who won’t stand up for working families.
She was appointed by Ron DeSantis to be a rubber stamp for Donald Trump’s MAGA agenda, not to represent the interests of Floridians. It is time for a change.
And right now, we have a golden opportunity to flip this Senate seat, and with it, the balance of power. If we succeed, Democrats can finally pass bold legislation to help American families like mine and yours. If we fail, the GOP stays in charge, and Donald Trump will have a rubber stamp for his dictatorship.
You know, I never thought that I would run for office.
I come from a working-class family, my dad was a corrections officer at Rikers, and my mom lived with a debilitating autoimmune disease. My husband and I have both worked multiple jobs to make ends meet.
However, when teachers were demonized for asking for fair wages in my county, I knew that I had to step in. I couldn’t sit back while teachers were being short-changed and our kids’ futures were being put in jeopardy.
I stood up. I ran for school board. And I won in a county where Democrats are outnumbered two-to-one. I defeated the woman who went on to found Moms for Liberty.
From day one, extremists tried to silence me. They protested outside my home, threatened me, and even cheered when the governor singled me out as a target.
But I refused to let my daughter see me give up while families across Florida needed someone to fight for them. I’m an educator. My husband is a teacher. Who was gonna fight for us?
Me. That’s who. I refused to quit. I stood strong, I fought, and I won, because that is who I am – a fighter.
That’s why I’m running now. Because Floridians deserve a battle-tested fighter in the U.S. Senate.
A new poll came out earlier this month that has me just 7 points behind Ashley Moody – and the momentum around our campaign is growing.
Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis will spend whatever it takes to defeat me and hold this seat. We have to build a grassroots movement strong enough to take them on.
Now is the time to mobilize. Now is the time to fight back. And now is the time to win.
