On Tuesday, I appeared in court to keep fighting the baseless charges brought against me by the Trump administration. This case is precedent-setting and it will shape the future of our democracy.

I am being targeted for doing my oversight work at an ICE facility. The Trump administration wants to punish political opponents and anyone who speaks up, silence dissent, drain me of my resources with an expensive legal battle, and put me in prison for up to 17 years. Even in the face of all this, I will not stop fighting.

Can I count on you to pitch in to Lisa Blunt Rochester and me to help fight back? We need your help to amass the resources to keep fighting this legal battle in court.

While I am not guilty of these charges, I am facing real prison time and a long, expensive court fight. What’s more, the outcome of this case will impact how public officials can be targeted by the administration. Mine is the first prosecution like this from the Trump administration, but we know it won’t be the last.
