Because whether you're a Congressman, an ordinary working person, a person in poverty or a millionaire, ALL of our constitutional rights are at risk with Trump's move toward authoritarianism.
Trump has only been in office for nine months, yet his Project 2025 goals are nearly halfway complete. This administration has:
❌ Fired thousands of federal workers and replaced them with MAGA loyalists ❌ Defunded the programs that help hungry kids eat, help sick folks get the care they need, and help our veterans get the support they deserve ❌ Expanded executive power – aided and abetted by our Supreme Court ❌ Crippled health and safety infrastructure and our world-renowned research institutions And now, Trump's on track to have ANOTHER one of the longest federal government shutdowns in history. Our rights, our freedoms, and our security should never be hanging on by a thread—especially not to make room for more corporate/billionaire tax cuts or political favors.
We the people are not going to let our rights fall to the wayside to protect the pockets of unelected elites.
So, as we protest, we also need to be electing Democrats in every office to help us put a stop to the Trump agenda in Congress.
