Dear John,

Right now you can save £20,000 a year tax-free in a Cash ISA.

That tax-free allowance has helped millions save for a housing deposit, save to start a family, or just save adequately for a rainy day.

Rachel Reeves reportedly wants to slash the tax-free allowance.

Put simply, Labour’s want to hike taxes on savers. Once again they are punishing people for doing the right thing and saving for their future.

Urge Labour not to impose a Savings Tax on the country by signing our petition here.

There’s another path John.

We've told Labour if they come up with a credible plan to cut spending, we'll support it.

And if Labour cut spending, they won't have to hike taxes.

We’ve forced Labour to do the right thing before, from reinstating Winter Fuel Payments to implementing a national inquiry into grooming gangs.

Let’s make Keir Starmer U-turn again and halt plans for a Savings Tax on the British people.

Sign our petition here and share it with your friends and family.

Yours sincerely,

Sir Mel Stride MP

Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer
