We are being let down.
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed plans to slash 24/7 public access to police stations across the capital from 32 boroughs down to just two locations: Lewisham and Charing Cross. This is not just a broken promise from our Labour Mayor of London (who pledged a 24/7 police front counter in every borough in 2024), it is a dangerous decision. |
This means that after dark, the vast majority of Londoners will have nowhere to go for immediate, in-person help. No safe station to walk into. No place of sanctuary. No physical access for people who are elderly, digitally excluded, fleeing violence, or in crisis.
Worse still, this decision was made without proper public consultation, which shows the Mayor’s complete disregard for transparency, accountability, and the needs of the most vulnerable in our city.
We cannot allow this to happen. Add your name to our urgent petition demanding an immediate halt to these plans. With your help we can force the Mayor and the Met to stop, listen, and protect public access to policing. |
We must act before it’s too late.
Please, take 30 seconds to sign the petition and share it widely with friends, family, and neighbours. Together, we can hold our leaders to their promises and protect London’s safety.
