It’s pretty clear that Donald Trump is afraid of me.
Trump has publicly endorsed my opponent (after Jack shamelessly begged for his support). He’s attacked me by name in multiple, unhinged rants on social media. His administration illegally leaked my private records to Jack’s campaign ally.
But John, Trump is even more afraid of the movement we’ve built together here in New Jersey — because if we win, we will send a powerful message to the nation that the people do not support his destructive and incompetent presidency.
That’s why he’s doing everything he can to stop us from winning this upcoming election, and is rallying the support of his deep-pocketed allies to flood this race with spending against us.
Donald Trump knows that as governor, I’m going to do everything in my power to fight back against his disastrous agenda. But polling shows a neck-and-neck race, John, which means we absolutely can’t let Trump’s attacks go unanswered. John, what happens here in New Jersey will set the tone for what happens in our nation in 2026, 2028, and beyond. It will show the nation whether we’re passively accepting Trump’s authoritarianism and his attacks on working families — or whether we’re fighting back and ready to lead in a new direction.
