John,
In a world that often favors cruelty over kindness, your partnership with the IRC is a testament to your humanity. We sincerely appreciate your generosity.
But families can't wait for temperatures to drop another degree. They need protection from the peril of winter now.
Please deepen your commitment to the IRC's mission by joining as a Rescue Collective Partner with a monthly gift. Your ongoing support—DOUBLED through November 30—will help us deliver aid month after month.

Now in a displacement camp in Gaza, Mervat faces a new challenge: "The biggest challenge is securing food." She had shared canned goods with other families, saving some for later. "I saved some, thinking the day would come. That day came, and now I'm out of food."
After two years of conflict, a ceasefire has been announced in Gaza—a critical first step. But for families like Mervat's, the crisis is far from over. Right now, 55,000 children are suffering from acute malnutrition and 82% of the population remains displaced.
And with no available work and high prices, most meals now are just lentils and pasta from the camp's central kitchen. As temperatures drop: "Sometimes it's cold, and it has its toll on the children."
Thanks to supporters like you, Mervat's children received shoes, jackets, pajamas, underwear, socks, pants and scarves—helping protect them from upcoming winter conditions.

As my colleagues and I have shared, U.S. funding cuts have left the IRC unable to serve all the families we had planned to support in 2025. So, you play an even more essential role—helping to fill the crisis funding gap and extending a lifeline to people like Mervat.
Today, your monthly support—which will be DOUBLED through matching funds—can help deliver lifesaving warmth before winter takes hold:
$30 can deliver 5 soft blankets for parents to wrap around their children, rock them to sleep and keep them warm.
$55 can fund 5 temporary shelter kits to protect families from the cold, wind, rain and snow.
$107 can provide a family with a survival kit that includes an emergency cookstove for preparing warm meals and boiling water so it's safe to drink.
Any amount you give will bring warmth, light and hope to families this winter.
