Team, it’s Governor JB Pritzker.

Earlier this month, Donald Trump said I should be in jail — simply because Juliana and I have never shied away from standing up to him.

Now he’s attacking us for doing our jobs: Protecting our state and defending our democracy from an unhinged, insecure, wannabe dictator.

I’m not letting this go because it’s more than just about me. It's about Trump doubling down on lawless intimidation. It’s about him targeting elected state officials — governors and lieutenant governors like Juliana and me — for refusing to do his bidding.

So there's one thing I really want to say to Donald Trump: If you come for my people, you come through me. So come and get me.

Juliana has been my partner through every one of these fights on the ground in Illinois. But she knows, like I do, that this fight can’t stop here.

We need champions in Washington who will stand up to Trump’s authoritarian overreach — and Juliana will be that champion.
